news for pews

THE SECOND SUNDAY BEFORE LENT 15 February 2004
We welcome all who worship here today. If you are a newcomer please speak to one
of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.
We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on
the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the
welcomers. Communicant members of all
Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail
for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.
Collect: Almighty God, give us reverence for all creation and respect for every person, that we may mirror your likeness in Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN
Readings: Genesis
2:4b-9, 15-25 Revelation 4 Luke 8:22-25
Post Communion: God our creator, by your
gift the tree of life was set at the heart of the earthly paradise, and the
bread of life at the heart of your Church:
may we who have been nourished at your table on earth be transformed by
the glory of the Saviour’s cross and enjoy the delights of eternity; through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN
