THE
PARISH OF BERKHAMSTED St
Peter’s with All Saints’ |
news for pews

THE SECOND SUNDAY OF CHRISTMAS 4 January 2004
Eucharistic Prayer B will be used at Holy Communion Services today
We welcome all who worship here today. If you are a newcomer please speak to one
of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.
We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on
the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the
welcomers. Communicant members of all
Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not receiving
Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the
minister knows.
Collect: God our Father, in love you sent your Son that the world may have life: lead us to seek him among the outcast and to find him in those in need, for Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen
Readings:
Ecclesiasticus 24: 1-12
Ephesians 1:3-14 John 1:1-18
Post Communion: All praise to you, almighty God and heavenly
king, who sent your Son into the world to take our nature upon him and to be
born of a pure virgin: grant that, as
we are born again in him, so he may continually dwell in us and reign on earth
as he reigns in heaven, now and for ever. AMEN
We pray this week
for Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and
Richard his suffragans
for
the Centre for the elderly at Gossoms End, for the Hospice of St Francis and
for the Iain Rennie Hospice at home, for those who need care and for those who
provide care in many ways.
