THE
PARISH OF BERKHAMSTED St
Peter’s with All Saints’ |
news for pews
THE THIRD SUNDAY OF ADVENT 14 December 2003
Eucharistic Prayer A may be used at Holy Communion Services today
We welcome all who worship here
today. If you are a newcomer please
speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy. We invite you to complete a card which you
will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it
to one of the welcomers. Communicant
members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not receiving Communion please
come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.
Collect: God for whom we watch and wait, you sent John the Baptist to prepare the way of your Son: give us courage to speak the truth, to hunger for justice, and to suffer for the cause of right, with Jesus Christ our Lord AMEN
Readings: Zephaniah 3:14-20 Philippians 4:4-7
Luke 3:7-18
Post Communion: We give you thanks, O Lord,
for these heavenly gifts; kindle in us the
fire of your Spirit that when our Christ comes again we may shine as lights
before his face; who is alive and
reigns now and for ever. AMEN
