THE
PARISH OF BERKHAMSTED St Peter’s with All Saints’ |
news for pews

THE SECOND SUNDAY OF ADVENT 7 December 2003
Eucharistic Prayer A may be used at Holy Communion Services today
We welcome all who worship here
today. If you are a newcomer please
speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy. We invite you to complete a card which you
will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it
to one of the welcomers. Communicant
members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not receiving Communion please
come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.
Collect: Almighty God, purify our hearts and minds, that when your Son Jesus Christ comes again as judge and Saviour we may be ready to receive him, who is our Lord and our God AMEN
Readings: Baruch 5:1-9 Philippians 1:3-11
Luke 3:1-6
Post Communion: Father in heaven, who sent
your Son to redeem the world and will send him again to be our judge: give us grace so to imitate him in the
humility and purity of his first coming that, when he comes again, we may be
ready to greet him with joyful love and firm faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
AMEN
