THE
PARISH OF BERKHAMSTED St
Peter’s with All Saints’ |
news for pews

THE FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT 30 November 2003
Eucharistic Prayer A may be used at Holy Communion Services today
We welcome all who worship here today. If you are a newcomer please speak to one
of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.
We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on
the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the
welcomers. Communicant members of all
Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail
for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.
Collect : Almighty God, as your kingdom dawns, turn us from the darkness of sin to the light of holiness, that we may be ready to meet you in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. AMEN
Readings: Jeremiah
33:14-16 1 Thessalonians 3:9-13 Luke 21:25-36
Post Communion: O Lord our God, make us watchful and keep us
faithful as we await the coming of your Son our Lord; that, when he shall appear, he may not find us sleeping in sin
but active in his service and joyful in his praise; through Jesus Christ our
Lord. AMEN
