THE THIRD SUNDAY BEFORE ADVENT Remembrance      9 November 2003

Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy Communion Services today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.

Collect:  God, our refuge and strength, bring near the day when wars shall cease and poverty and pain shall end, that earth may know the peace of heaven through Jesus Christ our Lord   AMEN

Readings:  Jonah 3 1-5, 10     Hebrews 9.24-28      Mark 1.14-20

Post Communion:  God of peace, whose Son Jesus Christ proclaimed the kingdom and restored the broken to wholeness of life:  look with compassion on the anguish of the world, and by your healing power make whole both people and nations;  through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ   AMEN
