THE
PARISH OF BERKHAMSTED St
Peter’s with All Saints’ |
![]()
THE EIGHTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY 10 August 2003
Eucharistic Prayer F or G
may be used at Holy Communion Services today
We welcome all who worship here
today. If you are a newcomer please
speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy. We invite you to complete a card which you
will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it
to one of the welcomers. Communicant
members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not receiving Communion please
come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.
Collect: Lord God, your Son left the riches of heaven and became poor for our sake: when we are prosperous save us from pride, when we are poor save us from despair, that we may trust in you alone; through Jesus Christ our Lord AMEN
Readings: 1 Kings 19.4-8, Ephesians4.25-5.2,
John 6.35,41-51
Post Communion: Strengthen for service, Lord,
the hands that have taken holy things;
may the ears which have heard your word be deaf to clamour and
dispute; may the tongues which have
sung your praise be free from deceit;
may the eyes which have seen the tokens of your love shine with the light
of hope; and may the bodies which have
been fed with your body be refreshed with the fullness of your life; glory to you for ever. AMEN
