THE FOURTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY                  13 July 2003

. Euucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy Communion Services today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.

Collect:  Almighty God, you search us and know us:  may we rely on you in strength and rest on you in weakness, now and in all our days;  through Jesus Christ our Lord.   AMEN

Readings:  Amos 7.7-15     Ephesians 1.3-14     Mark 6.14-29

Post Communion:  Eternal God, comfort of the afflicted and healer of the broken, you have fed us at the table of life and hope:  teach us the ways of gentleness and peace, that all the world may acknowledge the kingdom of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord   AMEN

We pray this week

for Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans

for Sister Diana of the Sisters of the Love of God, for Geoffrey Tristram of the Society of St John the Evangelist and all those who are living in a Religious Community

for the work of the Church Army

for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved;  and amongst the sick for Judith Hill, Jenny Luckhurst, Nancy & Jim Lawrenson, Brenda Quarmby, Michael Taylor, Susanne Kirkby, Muriel Norman, Christina Billington

for those who have died recently:  Bob Chambers

We give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron.

PLEASE TAKE THIS PEW LEAFLET AWAY WITH YOU  as a reminder of dates, subjects for prayer etc.   Fr Mark’s sermons at St Peter’s are normally available from the church table.   Do take copies for anyone not here today.
