THE FIFTH SUNDAY OF EASTER                               18 May 2003

Eucharistic Prayer E is being used at Holy Communion Services today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.

Collect:  Risen Christ, your wounds declare your love for the world and the wonder of your risen life:  give us compassion and courage to risk ourselves for those we serve, to the glory of God the Father.   AMEN

Readings:  Acts 8.26-40     1 John 4.7-21     John 15.1-8

Post Communion:  Eternal God, whose Son Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life:  grant us to walk in his way, to rejoice in his truth, and to share his risen life;  who is alive and reigns, now and for ever.   AMEN

We pray this week

for Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans

for our Church Schools, Victoria First School and headteacher, Janet Robinson and Thomas Coram School and acting headteacher, Tony Jeffreys

for the Guyana Diocesan Association

for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved;  and amongst the sick for Judith Hill, Jim Lawrenson, Joan Calnan, Brenda Quarmby, Michael Taylor, Susanne Kirkby, Margaret Trickett, David Jackson, Doreen Jones, Muriel Norman

for those who have died recently: Dora Fisher

and at her anniversary pray for:  Molly Hearne

We give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron.

At All Saints’ the weekly prayers are for everyone who lives in Bridgewater Road nos 51-110
